So, I've been living with K in Omaha for almost 2 years, and has she EVER taken me about town? Has she ever gone to the sights with me? Nope, not once!! So, I need some people to bug her about GETTING ME OUT OF THE HOUSE!! It's about smegging time!!

Utah has been a lot of fun so far. The flight was great - nothing too exciting. K was bored much of it and I stayed in a bag sound asleep.

We got into the airport at about 11:30 scrambled to get our rental car and meet up with K's friend Em. We crashed hard core that night - traveling really takes it out of a person.

Saturday, we took a trip to Park City. We got to see a lot of where they had the 2002 Winter Olympics. That was pretty nifty.

This morning the girls got up at 4:30 to head to Moab, Utah home of Arches National Park. (They are CRAZY!!!!) Arches was totally worth the drive. K was giddy trying to figure out the mineral components of the rocks (there was this greenish rock that K pondered over for a while - then had an AH HA! moment and called it copper oxide... )

We went as a group to the town of Moab during the heat of the day and drank lots of water the girls took a siesta to rest up. I don't blame them... 4:30 am *shiesh*! We are headed back to Arches here soon for some more hiking and hopefully some sunset pictures.

Tomorrow is off to Canyonlands for some more outdoor fun. K and I are not used to this dry heat and high elevation sun. We're hoping the SPF 30 that we've got on keeps us from being lobsters. So far so good...

Woohoo! I am of on an exciting adventure to Salt Lake City today!! I'm going for my first airplane ride - K says I'll be just fine. (I trust her, she's been out of the country twice.) Lots of pictures and fun I promise!!

Wow!! Did we ever have a great time in Oshkosh at EAA AirVenture! I got to talk to all sorts of nice people about their airplanes, and about airplanes they like and ... just WOW!!! The great thing is Ford sponsored a concert by Foreigner!!!! We has a great time... but rather than gibbering on the proof is in the photos!! Helldivers, DC-3s, P-51s, and much more!!

So there hasn't been a lot going on here. K is moving to Omaha soon, that's about all the vacation I am going to get for a while. Mom and Dad are going to Argentina this winter to go fishing... there's talk that I'll get to go along!! But that's not until January!!

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry that I took so long to update! The family and I got home and life got busy, we're still your average American family. But Wyoming was a blast, and fun was had by all.

We spent a day in Yellowstone. K was excited, we were reminded that we were treading on one of the biggest volcanoes in the world. We had fun exploring on our very brief visit to Yellowstone, we hope to spend more time there in the future.

We made it back safe and sound. I think the family is glad to be home. Until next time.

The fishing has left the family a little high and dry, hopefully the luck has changed with today's trip. K and I have had some time to read and keep Grandma out of trouble. Hello Friends and Family!!

It looks like we will be on the move again very soon. The family is taking a trip to Cody, Wyoming for a fishing trip. This is great news for me because it means that I will be out and about documenting the trip for them, bad news for K who doesn't like to fish. She and I will be updating you on the goings on with the family, and hopefully have pictures along the way. If not during then when we get home.

Yeah, I know long time no update.

Well, once the kids go to school there is very little going on for me. I usually just sit around and do nothing…

But I got out for a day! I went with the family to visit Peter at school!! I was soooo happy! Cassie is the greatest, she woke me up and carefully buckled me in and we were off.

Getting there was not a problem – we were jamming to Five Iron Frenzy and Dashboard Confessional on the drive. Cassie beat the folks there so we moseyed around a park for a while.

When we finally met up with the family – we walked around campus, took in the local cuisine, and even viewed a sporting event.

Then since Joe didn’t want me back – I’m still hangin out with Cassie. Hopefully more adventures to come.

So, working at a boy scout camp is over and done for me and Cassie. It was fun while it lasted - at least for the most part. The adjustment from one camp to the other took all four weeks for Cassie. People didn't do a very good job explaining that there was more to the change then just a change in geography. They also didn't respond well to her questions - granted they might have come off as negative. Still, I felt bad for her. But the Nature aspect went well - and we had a blast. Towards the end of the third week I was kidnapped. I didn't like that very much - and Cassie was panicked. I finally got back to her only to find out that I had missed Joe. The last week Cassie and some of the other girls on staff were in the "Ugly Person contest" and they won (hooray)! I missed seeing them pied... bummer. That's all I got. Enjoy the pictures!

Woah! Long time no update. Well, I’ve been pretty busy helping Cassie again. She’s off working at a Boy Scout camp – and she needs help with her lovely nature center. No good pictures yet, will have some soon.

Well my family insisted that I update again – so here it goes.

I’m home now, it’s quiet – well at least for me. Mom got a new computer (hooray makes updating easier…when I get around to it). I spent some time around the house, Joe wanted to hear if I could play his instruments (piano and trumpet). Psh yeah right! The ratio of the size of the instruments is seriously ginormus to nothing.

Other then that I’m tryin to be helpful since there’s going to be a graduation soon. Repete is graduating high school – hooray! Ok enough of an update.

Ending of the semester and my stay with Cassie

Wow, so college life with Cassie has been a lot of fun! But it is coming to a close. She's taking her finals this week, which means that I have to go back to the shelf by the computer until our family goes on a trip or another.

While living with Cassie, I've learned a lot of things. The other day she had me help her make dinner. I also helped make coffee this morning - man is she grumpy with out her coffee. I never knew how complicated life was for college students - classes, studying, homework, trying to take care of yourself, and attempting to have friends- it's a wonder they get any sleep at night. Me I like my 8 hours of sleep.

I tried to read about some of the stuff Cassie is studying, so maybe I could talk with her about it. Wow some of that stuff is difficult! However, I was very encouraging while she was working on all those papers she had to write. She had me sit by her keyboard to talk to her while she was typing.

I was also able to hang out with my friend Teddy the other evening. He got a new car to play with. He actually let me ride! I'm going to miss spending time with him this summer. He and Nyla have to go back to their home.

Hello friends and fellow travlers!

My name is Lawndart and I was adopted by a wonderful family last summer during their trip to Montana. It has been desided that I need a place to tell of my wonderful adventures. With the help of my big sister I have been given that oppertunity (hooray).

My family is very good to me. I have been on several adventures since joining their number.

I was adopted in North Dakota. It was the youngest child, Joe's birthday. He was really missing his two siblings who stayed home. Joe was driving his mother crazy, so she needed something to keep him busy and his mind off his siblings. Enter me!

I went the rest of the way out west with them, and made some friends along the way. I did my job well, Joe and I had a wonderful time. Even being used for target practice. He taught me many things; like how to play Xbox games and cribbage.

Later that summer my sister, Cassie, had to go on a "field trip" to an archaeastronomical site. (archaeo - ancient; astronomy - the study of the skies; archaeoastronomy - the study of how the ancients studied the skies). So we went to the Cahokia mounds. I had a lot of fun! I hiked all the way up to the top if Monks Mound. 100+ stairs is a little difficult for short legs like mine. But I made it up (hooray). I was really thirsty when i finally made it back down.

Life was peaceful, but I got a little restless just sitting around in the house. I need to travel it's key to my exhistance. So Joe talked to Cassie, and at Thanksgiving I moved to college with her. Granted I still did a lot of sitting, but I got to meet new people. Plus Cassie needed a helper. I think she would have gone a little crazy if I hadn't been here to help her out.

I learned how to cook and how hard physics is. I tried living the "college life" but it didn't sit well. So I will be heading home soon - hopefully I'll get out a little more this time around.
